We deeply value the generosity of our Love Mercy community, whose support allows us to fulfil our purpose of creating lasting, positive change. We will always encourage and are always grateful for donations of any size that our generous community are able to give. However, we understand you might have questions about our fundraising efforts. 

We are committed to being transparent with our supporters. Below are some frequently asked questions we often receive.     Our mission is to co-design innovative solutions and build on existing strengths with local communities to overcome poverty and increase wellbeing.

    The funds raised for Love Mercy help provide:

    CLEAN WATER: Access to safe and sustainable water sources.

    HEALTH CARE: Maternal and child health programs to save lives.

    AGRICULTURE: Tools and training for women to grow crops and support their families through sustainable farming.

Fundraising & Transparency

  • We are committed to ensuring that every donation has the greatest possible impact, making every dollar go as far as possible. You can view full financials in our annual reports. In 2024, 74% of income went to international expenditure, while the remainder was spent on essential operational costs, which we keep to a minimum. This allows us to sustain our work and grow the reach of our projects.

  • Are you a monthly donor or fundraiser? To update your details, head to love-mercy-foundation-give.raisely.com/login, and log in using the email you used to sign up. Once logged in, navigate to your profile to update your personal details, payment information, or manage donations. If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot Password to reset it. For further assistance, email us at hello@lovemercyfoundation.org.

  • Please email us at hello@lovemercyfoundation.org, and we will update your contact preferences. You can also unsubscribe from emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Love Mercy email. 

Donations and Receipts 

  • There are many ways you can donate to Love Mercy:

    Bank Transfer: Please include your full name in the transaction description and email us with your name, donation amount, and any specific campaign or event you’re supporting so we can send you a receipt.

  • Yes, donations of $2 and above are tax-deductible within Australia. Merchandise purchases, however, do not qualify for tax deductions.

  • For single donations, please email hello@lovemercyfoundation.org, with your donation details, and we’ll send your receipt right away. If you’re a regular donor, we’ll provide an annual receipt in July for the previous financial year. Make sure to check your junk mail, and If you haven’t heard from us by the end of August, or you need your statement sooner, reach out.

  • To cancel or adjust your monthly donation, log in to your account on our Raisely campaign page using the email address linked to your donation. Use the ‘Manage My Donation’ button at the bottom of your monthly donor newsletter, or at the bottom of our website.  Navigate to your profile and select the option to manage your recurring donation, where you can update payment details, change the donation amount, or cancel the donation. Gifts in Wills

  • A gift in your Will is a meaningful way to create lasting change for future generations. It helps ensure that Love Mercy can continue supporting Ugandan communities with vital resources like clean water, education, and health care for years to come.

  • Yes, you can choose to direct your gift to a specific program or leave it for general purposes, which allows us to allocate funds where they’re needed most. 

  • You can leave residual gifts, percentage gifts, pecuniary gifts, or specific items like property, shares, or other assets of value.

Workplace Giving

  • Workplace giving allows you to make regular donations to Love Mercy directly from your pre-tax salary. If your employer offers this option, it’s a simple and tax-effective way to support our work. Love Mercy have a number of platforms you can work with and also initiate this in your workplace.

  • Donations through workplace giving are processed via payroll, and your contributions will appear on your end-of-year tax statement.
